In a recent episode, I talked about jumping to the front of the line, give yourself permission to jump to the front of the line, do it, you deserve it, you're capable of it, it is a game changer. And a twin sister or sibling or whatever, of jumping to the front of the line is failing fast, we have kind of like failing is a dirty word, ooh, that person failed, you know, like, it's some reflection of their inherent capability or nature as a human being walking this earth. And it's not, it's the greatest thing in the whole wide world. Because when you fail, you get clarity. Okay, this doesn't resonate with me, this isn't working for me, this particular strategy isn't working. And the thing is, because of sunk time cost, we tend to really over invest ourselves for a longer period of time. And then it becomes even harder to, you know, sort of cut your losses and pull out of that situation. So you want to get in the habit of failing fast. And here is a practical little tip that I have for you to get started down that path and assessing things and failing more quickly, and gathering the delightful wisdom that comes from that experience. Now, number one, as I mentioned, it's not really failure, it's learning that is how we all learn every single aspect of our lives. So number one, get in the habit of Monday morning quarterbacking, all of your experiences, how does this feel? Does this resonate with me? Is this working for me? Is this serving me? If not, what about it, you know, is and is not. So you get a real a lot of clarity there internally, from the inside out about the situation and where you currently stand with it. And keeping in mind those sunk time costs, then you want to start figuring out where and when do I pulled the plug on this and move on. As I mentioned, we are so attuned to habitually utilizing that logic and reason using our brain. But we have other brains and our bodies, our hearts have their own brain system, even our guts have their own brain system. And this is a fantastic way to make decisions and not just using that logic and reason and our minds and our brains, right? And so here's the thing, number one, when you start feeling a bad feeling, first, I like to ask myself, is this fear of growth? Fear of stretching, right? Is that where this bad feeling is coming from, because that's often times a huge part of the feeling when you're stepping into a new area in life, it's scary. Your subconscious wants to be comfortable, it doesn't want to change. So is it that? Or is it that this does not resonate with me that this does not feel good to me that this is not serving me. And this is where you really want to check in with your heart and with your gut. And when you really start asking yourself this question, you start realizing that you know full well what the answer is, right? And you've oftentimes logic and reasons yourself out of following what your own internal navigational system is telling you to do. So when you get in the habit of checking in with your heart and your gut, then it becomes a lot easier to say, yeah, this is not working for me, you know, I'm gonna be aware of that sunk time costs. And I'm going to fail fast in the situation so that I can learn from it. And take all that delightful learning and wisdom and insight, and move forward in a better way for me. And you guys, you can apply this to everything. You can apply it at the top level, you know, like big life decisions, career stuff, work stuff, relationship stuff, but even it's really, really fun to apply it at the micro level, say you're having a conversation. Is this working for me? Or do I need to fail fast, right? And you know, when you're having a conversation, and you stop and ask yourself that question, it's really interesting how quickly you realize like, yeah, this isn't working for me at all, I need to fail fast right now. Just explore that and have fun with that at you know, big levels and little micro levels and big decisions and little decisions and be open to the idea of failing fast and how it really, really serves and empowers you. And this is a great skill to jump to the front of the line faster. Have fun with it, and I will talk to you in the next episode.
